Preparation before troubleshooting
Before repairing the Poured Bus Duct, you need to make adequate preparations. First, ensure that the maintenance personnel have relevant electrical knowledge and safety operation skills, and are familiar with the structure and working principle of the Poured Bus Duct. Secondly, prepare the necessary maintenance tools, such as multimeters, megohmmeters, torque wrenches, etc., as well as parts that may need to be replaced. At the same time, the power supply of the bus duct must be cut off and warning signs must be hung to prevent electric shock accidents.
Inspection of appearance and connection parts
During maintenance, first carefully inspect the appearance of the bus duct. Check whether the outer shell of the bus duct is deformed, damaged, corroded, etc. If the outer shell is found to be damaged, it may affect the protection performance of the bus duct and needs to be repaired or replaced in time. Then check the connection parts of the bus duct, including whether the connection bolts between busbars and between busbars and electrical equipment are loose. If there is any looseness, use a torque wrench to tighten it according to the specified torque value to ensure reliable connection and prevent heating and other faults caused by poor contact.
Insulation performance test
Insulation performance is one of the important indicators of poured bus duct. Use a megohmmeter to test the insulation resistance of the bus duct. Measure the insulation resistance between each phase bus and between the bus and the shell. If the insulation resistance value is lower than the specified value, it means that the insulation performance has declined, and there may be problems such as insulation damage or moisture. For the decline in insulation performance, it is necessary to further find the cause, such as checking whether the casting material has cracks, holes and other defects that cause moisture. If so, the damaged parts need to be repaired or replaced.
Electrical performance test
In addition to insulation performance, the electrical performance of the bus duct needs to be tested. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance value of the bus to determine whether the bus has problems such as circuit breakage or poor contact. At the same time, check whether the voltage drop of the bus duct is within the normal range. If the voltage drop is too large, it may be caused by poor bus connection or too small bus cross-sectional area. It is necessary to take corresponding measures according to the specific situation, such as reconnecting the bus or replacing a bus with a larger cross-sectional area. In addition, it is also necessary to check whether the protective devices of the bus duct, such as fuses, thermal relays, etc., are working properly, to ensure that they can cut off the circuit in time when a fault occurs to protect the safety of equipment and personnel.
